INVESTIERA is authorised and regulated by FINMA and the Supervisory Organization AOOS. The main scope of this company is to perform portfolio management services.

There is no minimum term for our investment mandate, allowing you to withdraw your funds at any time if you consider so. It is notable to mention that before commencing the investment activities, each client will be informed that investments can fluctuate in the short term and the expected returns generally take a longer period of time to be achieved. A request to liquidate all investment positions in order to withdraw the funds might result in realised losses, as it does not follow the initial investment timeframes. For the withdrawal to happen, we generally need a few weeks, but this process can be even quicker.

Investing, regardless of the specific financial instrument chosen, carries an inherent risk. We address this by understanding and knowing the client, and choosing a portfolio that is appropriate for their situation. Investment literature says that given a higher level of risk, there is a higher level of expected return. Our duty is to guide the client in choosing the degree of risk they want to undertake, given the expectation regarding returns. Furthermore, it is our duty to select the investments with the highest expected returns for each level of risk, which is something that we meticulously analyse. Diversification is efficiently employed in our portfolio creation process. Our expertise and risk management principles should offer our clients the piece of mind that their investments are well taken care of. 

The short answer is “No”.  However, what happens instead is that the client signs an investment mandate, which defines the guidelines under which investments are chosen. These are strictly followed by us, but the manner in which we operate under those guidelines is at our discretion, hence the name discretionary asset management. Our duty is to manage the clients’ investments to the best of our ability and use our expertise to avoid losses and deliver positive returns. We are not responsible for investment losses and we do not guarantee any profits, unless otherwise stated. Our commitment to generating returns for clients can be seen from the fact that we charge a management fee that is as low as possible and we rely more heavily on the performance fees. This implies that we are incentivised to offer our clients as high returns as possible while managing the risks appropriately, as described in the investment mandates signed with each client. We are not aiming to charge high, fixed management fees without delivering notable returns to our client. 

Our fees consist of two parts. 

Firstly, there is a low, fixed management fee, applicable yearly as a percentage of the assets under management. 

Secondly, there is a percentage performance fee, applicable only to the excess returns generated beyond the principal, which is also calculated on yearly basis. This percentage fee is smaller for safer portfolios, where the expected returns are also smaller and it grows as the portfolios have higher expected returns.
